- Item Description and Approved Sources The purpose of this announcement is to advertise that Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land & Maritime is soliciting for an Indefinite Quantity Contract for the attached items. This acquisition includes the purchase of code and part number items where items are classified as competitive with numerous approved CAGE and part numbers. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the Government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed (5) years. Freight on Board (FOB) will be origin. Inspection and acceptance will be at origin based upon the quality requirements for the items and the items fall within the aforementioned contract scope. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only the approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2301(c) (1). Approved sources for the 10 items can be found on attachment 2. Solicitation will be unrestricted with Other Than Full and Open competition. The solicitation will be available on or about August 06, 2014 at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP/. The item under this acquisition may be subject to Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the Unites States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. Dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer. The North American Industry Classification System for this procurement is 336340 and number of employees is 750. The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with approved sources under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
