Description
Statement of Work for Fundus Camera This solicitation uses a Brand Name or Equal Description of the product required. This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name. All offers must work with existing equipment that has already been purchased and is currently in use at the station and also to meet standardization requirements throughout the hospital. Purpose: The fundus camera is an imaging system that takes magnified images of the retina of the eye. This camera is used many times a day and is essential to the practice of ophthalmology and particularly for evaluations and consultation by the retinal service. These images are essential to allow the documentation of certain lesions and tumors in a serial fashion to recognize change or growth. Also it is used in the diagnosis of drug toxicities and macular degeneration. These images should be transferred to the patients EMR (Vista Imaging) for future reference. Scope of Work: This camera is used on a daily basis to evaluate patients with retinal diseases, lesions and tumors of the posterior segment of the eye. The camera does not have to touch the surface of the eye and it should run off of wall current. It must be able to send data/images to VISTA by the use of DICOM software. Power Imaging Table that is wheelchair compatible is essential. Location of Work: This testing is done in the eye clinic and the instrument should be mounted to a wheelchair accessible power table as stated above. Period of performance: This instrument will be used during clinic hours to evaluate patients throughout the day. Photos should only take 5-10 minutes and will be performed about 10 or more times per day. Delivery Schedule: Once equipment arrives the set up should only take one day. Installation to the network will need coordination with the Bio Med department. Applicable Standards: (Equal to the Zeiss FF450 Plus R and VISUPAC items) Must integrate the old photos from current Zeiss Fundus Camera's on to the new system. Integration of photos used for comparison of eye disease over time. Work synergistically with the 250,000+ images that the VA Eye Clinic have on current system. Seamless integration with the Zeiss OCT system, peripheral field montages, and DICOM compatible software. Fully compliant with the VA standards for integrating flash levels, ability to capture images through a 3.3mm pupil, ARDS grids for measuring and quantifying in ARMD, high resolution telecentric optics to neutralize the effects of patient's refractive error, eliminating the potential for image distortion. Retinal autofluorescence function Fluorescein Angiography functionality Astigmatism correct Mydriatic camera with tilt Optical view of 30 degrees (mydriatic) Field of view 20/30/50 (mydriatic) Need "true" zoom; not a digital zoom Indocyanine-green mode A megapixel range to include 6MP Pans out to 45 degrees Visupac Format compatible Ability to analyze and manipulate the raw data from the old images - to include specifics on how that would occur. Ability to send the images from the camera to LRVA in jpeg. Acceptance Criteria: The Chief of Eye Acceptance Services will inspect the equipment to determine medical suitability and Bio Med electrical suitability. Special Requirements: none Miscellaneous: The C&A requirements do not apply, and a Security Accreditation Package is not required
