Description
The VA Illiana Health Care System, 1900 East Main Street, Danville Illinois 61832, has a requirement for Waste Disposal Services. This is an unrestricted competition being conducted under NAICS Code 562111 with a business size standard of $38.5 Million. The solicitation will issue July 22, 2014 and responses will be due on August 18, 2014 at 4PM CDT. Please see attachments for solicitation submission details and requirements. The contractor shall provide all containers, labor, equipment and disposal for solid waste removal service at the VA Illiana Healthcare System in Danville Illinois. Containers shall be able to take all types of trash such as tin cans, bottles, glass, cardboard cartons, and all types of solid fill material such as bricks, concrete rubble, non-burnable items, steel scraps, etc. Trash containers shall not contain more than 30% of solid fill such as broken concrete, steel, etc. Contractor shall sanitize all containers once a month. Covers shall work freely. All containers shall be placed on government installed concrete pads. The period of Performance shall be October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015, with the possibility of Four (4) additional Option years, if exercised. Services to be provided: 1.The vendor shall provide an enclosed 40 cubic yard waste container configured to attach to the VA trash compactor. The unit shall be emptied twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. 2.Shall provide a 30 cubic yard waste container which shall be located adjacent to the old scale house. Contractor shall empty and return on a will call basis per vendor dispatch. 3.Shall provide additional 30 cubic yard waste containers for in house projects at various locations on campus as needed on a will call basis. 4. Shall provide twelve (12) individual 96 gallon taters to residences and outlying building locations and shall provide onsite waste removal service twice weekly.
