- Description
- NASA/AFRC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the following Commercial item: Acquisition of two (2) Mid-Life Rolls Royce Spey MK 511-8/10 engines (including Trunnion & Mount Bolt Overhauled Exchange Kits) specifically configured for a Gulfstream G-III (C-20A) aircraft. The engines shall have zero time since Mid-Life Inspection (Sp72-666 Rev 25) and a minimum of 9-10 years left of calendar life and 4,000 flight hours remaining. The requirement is in support of the NASA Unmanned Air Vehicle Synthetic Aperture Radar (UAVSAR) Science program in-order to sustain the projected 10 year flight schedule of the UAVSAR science platform. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 336412 and 1000 employees, respectively. The anticipated release date of RFP # NND14519553R is on or about August 6, 2014 with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about September 3, 2014. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/p ub_library/Omb.html. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA Business Opportunities page is http://procurement.na sa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
