- National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), Office of Purchasing and Contracts (OPC), 10 Center Drive, Building 10, Bethesda, Maryland 20892 intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis to McKesson Technologist, Inc. 5995 Windward Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30005 pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c) (1)--Only one responsible source and no other company will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for service and maintenance on the existing ORSOS One-Call Software System. This system is required to effectively track and allocate nursing resources. There is an emerging need to gain a better understanding of patient care complexity in order to most effectively utilize Nursing resources in addition to extend budgetary and strategic planning capabilities. McKesson Technologies Inc is the sole manufacturer and supplier of the existing ORSOS One-Call System and is the only authorized vendor to provide upgrade support, maintenance and training on this system. The NAICS Code is 541519. This will be a firm fixed price purchase order. The System was developed solely by McKesson and only McKesson personnel are licensed and authorized to provide implementation, validation and upgrade services, as well as consulting and training. This is not a Request for Quote. Sources interested in this requirement must provide a statement of capabilities in sufficient detail to determine if the requirements of this synopsis can be met. Response must be in writing and must be received within seven (7) calendar days from the date of this notice sent to Deborah Culpepper, dculpepper@cc.nih.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based on responses from this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. There is no solicitation package available.
