- Military Sealift Command Ship Support Unit San Diego intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order to Ultra Electronics-EMS Development Corporation for on-site attendance by an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized Technical Field Service Representative to perform a survey of the degaussing system onboard the USNS WALLY SCHIRRA, and conduct those repairs to the system necessary to make it fully operational. The ship is equipped with an advanced degaussing system manufactured by Ultra Electronic EMS Development Corporation. Anticipated performance period is 06 through 16 October 2014. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice and/or requesting for a copy of the solicitation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all proposals received on time will be considered. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
