- The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) hosted the Now Trending: #Health in my Community Challenge competition in 2012. The Now Trending web platform (previously called MappyHealth) was selected as the winning entry. As per the challenge rules, HHS gained license to the web platform and the ability to share this platform with public health partners at the federal, state, and local level for a period of two years. In order to maintain operational control and security of the platform, HHS moved an instance of the website to government controlled cloud space. Through this contract, the site will be technically maintained and additional geolocation functionality will be added in order to directly support the ASPR mission of public health situational awareness. Objective The objective of this contract is to provide technical support for and improve upon the web platform on its current government controlled cloud space location in order to provide situational awareness and decision support to ASPR staff and leadership. Social Health Insights LLC a small business, was the winning company and will be awarded the contract as a sole source due to proprietary reasons. The first contract as a result of the contest was also awarded to Social Health Insights LLC and this will be a follow up contract.
