- Due to urgent and compelling reasons, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District Contracting Office intends to award a firm fixed price contract, on a sole-source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) to TOPCOR Services, Inc of Vicksburg, MS. The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The purpose of this contract is to repair a buckled timber pile on the North Access Bridge at Enid Lake with a Structural Pile Jacket. The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform all work as required for repairs of the North Access Bridge timber pile. The estimated cost of this requirement is $69,000.00. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No Request for Proposals will be issued. However, all information received within (5) calendar days after date of publication of this notice, on or before 30 July 2014, will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238990 - All Other Specialty Trade Contractors; size standard $15,000,000.00.
