Description
Solicitation Package This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested from the attached solicitation package. Please refer to the attached soliciation package for complete project details and related solicitation documents. Following is synopsis of the soliciation package. The USDA Forest Service, Utah Acquisition Support Center located in Salt Lake City, Utah is soliciting quotes/offerors for Carbaryl 4L Treatment on the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Description of requirements for the items to be acquired: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished) and incidentals necessary to spray up to approximately 8,000 Engelmann Spruce trees on the Heber-Kamas and Salt Lake Ranger Districts to prevent Spruce Bark Beetle attacks and the option to spray an additional 290 Engelmann Spruce on the Heber-Kamas Ranger District, depending on available funding. The solicitation number AG-84N8-S-14-0111 and this solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-44. This is a small business set-aside with an associated NAICS code of 115310 and small business size standard of $7.5. The following are this solicitation's list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure: Item #01 Treatment Of Marked Engelmann Spruce With Carbaryl 4L In Campgrounds Along Lower Mirror Lake Highway, quantity of 2961 TREES Item #02 Treatment Of Marked Engelmann Spruce With Carbaryl 4L In Campgrounds Along Upper Mirror Lake Highway, quantity of 2954 TREES Item #03 Treatment Of Marked Engelmann Spruce With Carbaryl 4L In Big Cottonwood Canyon, quantity of 2085 TREES Item #04 Optional Depending on Funding - Treatment Of Marked Engelmann Spruce With Carbaryl 4L In Wolf Creek Campground, quantity of 290 TREES The date for delivery is: Start Work date is no earlier than September 2, 2014 and project must be completed by September 19, 2014. Start date may be earlier depending on campground closure. Work will not be performed on weekends. The provision "52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items" does not apply to this acquisition however the following evaluation procedures shall be used in the selection of a contractor: • Lowest Price Technically Acceptable FAR Clause "52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items" applies to this acquisition and includes the following addenda to this clause incorporated in full or by reference.
