- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD) intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with Tyco Integrated Security, CAGE: 8B951, in accordance with the statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The security systems in use are proprietary to the sole source vendor, and no other vendor can perform the required support on the proprietary equipment. This procurement is for support and monitoring of existing security equipment. This acquisition is being procured under NAICS Code 561621. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Inspection and Acceptance will be at destination (NSWC PHD). Contract award is expected on a FOB destination basis. This will be a commercial acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
