Description

The Naval War College (NWC), Newport, RI has a museum storage facility located in Building 13, Naval Station Newport. NWC has a Datum MobileTrak Shelving system which will be used to store museum artifacts. Installation of this system is required. A proposed sole source purchase order with Systematics, Inc. 9 Otis Street, Westborough, MA is planned. A full lifetime warranty (lifetime on parts, 5 years on labor) was provided with the system, provided that it is installed by a factory trained installation company ( Datum certified installer). Systematics is the only certified installer for the Newport, RI area. Additionally, Systematics installers are specifically trained on the proper installation of this high density shelving system whcih will be used to store valuable artifacts. The vendor shall assemble and install pre-existing mechanically assisted powder-coated steel compact shelving system with 1 to 4,000 pound gear ratios and three piece steel face panels. The vendor will also supply and install a floor leveling system, and vinyl composition tile finished flooring system, over the raised flooring to receive the rails and carriages. EM 385-1-1 applies and an APP and AHA will be required. Davis Bacon Act applies. Complete installation is required within 30 days after contract award. The solicitation will be issued on or about 13 Aug 2014.
