- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This solicitation is a request for quotations (RFQ). Quotations are being requested at this time, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This is requirement is unrestricted. This requirement is for an acquisition of supplies and services. The contractor shall perform emergency repairs of the Pontoons to Wilco Marsh Buggy Excavator Plant #0425 in accordance with the description in this announcement listed below. Response Closing Date: All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency, by no later than 11:00AM EST, 01 August 2014. Quotes shall not exceed two pages. DiNofa, Purchasing Agent helena.r.dinofa@usace.army.mil (215)656-6762 Description: The work that needs to be accomplished is the following: Complete removal and replacement of 5 welded wear strips per pontoon. These wear strips are approximately 40 feet in length per strip and are completely welded on both sides. The steel being used for the new wear strips is a special Hardox steel and will be Government furnished. Total linear feet of wear strips for both pontoons is approximately 400 feet. Total linear footage that the contractor needs to weld is approximately 800 feet because of the weld on both sides of each strip. Classification Codes: NAICS: 423830 Industrial Machinery and Equipment Merchant Evaluation Criteria: Evaluation will be based on the lowest price that meets the requirement.
