- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to construct a one-story prefabricated metal storage facility next to Building 173 on Pope Army Airfield. The work will consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, transportation, and materials necessary to perform all work. Work will consist of demolition of existing grass surface, existing storm drain pipe, existing pavement, existing curbing, existing light poles and relocation of utilities as indicated on the drawings. The new work will consist of sediment and erosion control measures, grading and modifications to the existing storm drain system as shown on the drawings. Also, the civil work will include the addition of concrete aprons, pads, curbing, parking patching and installation of a fire and domestic waterline, gas line, and sanitary sewer to supplement the new pre-fab metal building (pre-engineered) as indicated on the drawings. Structural and architectural work consists of construction a 3,200 square foot, slab on grade pre-fab metal building (pre-engineered). The pre-engineered metal building will include an open storage room, flight simulator room, flight crew room, communication room, electrical room, and fire riser room with minimal interior finishes as indicated on the drawings. Mechanical work will consist of providing a HVAC system. The new work will include a fire protection and fire alarm system to serve the new pre-fab metal building. Plumbing work will consist of providing hose bibs and a service sink. In addition, the electrical work will consist of providing lighting and power. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about August 13, 2014. The proposal date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. This solicitation is a 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220- Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the size standard is $36,500,000.00. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation.
