- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intends to procure on a firm fixed price basis a contract for eight (8) each gasoline inboard marine engines. Specifications: four (4) each 8.2 Horizon 63IV 2.5:1 package with 2 inch risers and four (4) each 8.2 Horizon 63IV 2.5:1 package with 6 inch risers for use by Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division SeaBorne Targets depot to repower two (2) QST35A target craft. The QST35A was designed and constructed around the Marine Mercury inboards and only Marine Mercury inboards have ever been used in them. Extensive structural and mechanical alterations to the craft would need to be made in order to accommodate any other engine type. This requirement is manufacturer sole sourced to Mercury Marine, Attn: Government Sales, W6250 Pioneer Road, Fond du Lac, WI 54935 to be competed among distributors. Any firms believing that they can provide the required product may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than the date posted on this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of this product without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Documentation to include the required specifications must be included with the quotation.
