Description
This requirement is for two high-speed, floor model centrifigues and five pairs of rotors. The mininmum essential characteristics are listed below. Minimum Essential Characteristics The USAMRICD requires two high-speed centrifuges & rotors with the following characteristics: Maximum speed of 29,000rpm Instrument must have selectable run speed between 500rpm and 29,000rpm (accurate to 25rpm) Maximum RCF of 100,605 g Maximum capacity of 6 liters Maximum exterior height of 37 inches Maximum exterior width of 28 inches Maximum exterior depth of 32 inches Instrument should have a work height of no more than 34 inches Instrument must have an integrated surface workspace for loading and unloading samples Maximum weight of 650 lbs Instrument must use 200-240V, 50/60Hz, 30A power supply Must be refrigerated with a temperature range of -20 C to +40 C (accurate 2 C) Instrument must incorporate a pre-cooling function Instrument must incorporate a partial vacuum system Instrument must have a touchscreen interface oInstrument must contain an integrated rotor calculator oPassword protection of runs must be available oAll runs, including run parameters, must be automatically logged and associated with each user Instrument must have a working noise level less than 60dBA Instrument must be able to operate without bolting down Instrument must incorporate both a run time function and a hold function for runs Instrument must be able to use fixed angle, swing bucket, and continuous flow rotors oPurchase must include the following rotors: 1 fixed angle rotor with the capacity for 4 x 1L bottle 1 fixed angle rotor with the capacity for 6 x 500mL bottle 1 fixed angle rotor with the capacity for 6 x 250mL bottle 1 fixed angle rotor with the capacity for 14 x 50mL tubes with adapters to accommodate 15mL tubes 1 fixed angle (34 ) rotor with the capacity for 8 x 50mL tubes Instrument must be able to automatically identify rotor upon insertion and incorporate rotor specific parameters for each specific rotor Rotors must be exchangeable using no tools, preferably using a push button locking mechanism Instrument door must open fully and automatically when activated by button, bar, or pedal
