- This Market Survey is to identify capable vendors. Once RFQ's go out the selected contractor will provide a quote on the following: a) Two complete turnkey magnetostrictive sensor (MsS) based communication tower guy anchor rod inspection systems to include all ancillary cables, adapters, connectors, sensors, magnets, transportation cases, calibration/test records, software and license, human machine interface unit(s), batteries, battery chargers, spares (if applicable), and operations and maintenance manual(s), and shipping and/or transportation to AML-2070 in Oklahoma City. Provide a 12 month warranty for manufacturing defects and component failures beginning from the date of delivery to the FAA directly or by a third party vendor. b) Two complete turnkey cylindrically guided wave (CGWT) sensor based communication tower guy anchor rod inspection systems to include all ancillary cables, adapters, connectors, sensors, transportation cases, calibration/test records, software and license (if applicable), human machine interface unit(s), batteries, battery chargers, spares (if applicable), operations and maintenance manual(s), and shipping and/or transportation to AML-2070 in Oklahoma City. Provide a 12 month warranty for manufacturing defects and component failures beginning from the date of delivery to the FAA directly or by a third party vendor. c) Provide training for the aforementioned devices, techniques, software, theory, and analysis for ten AML-2070 engineering technicians. The training will take place at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. The FAA will provide a classroom of sufficient size, laptop projector connection, and whiteboards/chalkboards. The training may be divided into more than one class/session. The sessions must not exceed a standard eight hour workday. A 30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks must be provided. The contractor will supply a syllabus and schedule prior to the class. d) Provide hands-on training with both devices/techniques at an FAA selected communication tower within 40 miles from the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. e) The combination of devices and techniques must be capable of analyzing the sub-surface condition of a multitude of guy anchor rod shapes, sizes, and configuration without disturbing the earth or damaging the anchor under test. These guy anchor rod shapes include, but are not limited to I-beams, angle, flat strap, double angles, round rods, square rods, C-channel, and double C-channel. f) The combination of devices and techniques must be capable of analyzing concrete encased or rock/stone embedded guy anchor rods. g) A method of storing the collected raw data must be provided in order to create a historical database. The software provided must be capable of generating a printed and electronic report. h) Provide data analysis assistance and review for a period of 6 months from the date of contract award. The contractor will provide assistance to the FAA to review and analyze data from difficult or troublesome cases on a limited and reasonable basis.
