Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number AG-32SC-S-14-698865 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-74. This solicitation is offered without restriction. This acquisition is for the following item as identified in the Contract Line Item Number (CLIN): 0001) Fatty Acid Analysis Qty: 500 Technical Specifications: Time and Performance: All samples shall be processed by September 30th 2014. Samples will be submitted in batches. Approximately 100 samples/batch for Fatty Acid Analysis. Samples would be submitted every 1-2 weeks. Analysis: Fatty acid profile analysis should be done with a gas chromatography system. Reports: Reports will be submitted electronically, but the Government may accept paper reports if necessary. Fatty acid profiles should list the component fatty acids as percent of total fatty acids. The Contractor shall provide all items F.O.B. destination. Location of the Government site is: USDA ARS National Cold Water Marine Aquaculture Center 25 Salmon Farm Road Franklin, ME 04634 The Government anticipates award of a Firm Fixed Price contract. Quoters responding to this announcement shall submit their quote in accordance with FAR 52.212-1. Submission of quote shall include the following: (1) Technical Specifications and (2) Price (to include shipping). The basis for award is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). "LPTA" means the expected outcome of the acquisition that, results from selection of the technically acceptable proposal with the lowest evaluated price. Pursuant to FAR 52.212-2, the criteria for evaluation are: (1) Technical Specifications, and (2) Price (to include shipping). INSPECTON AND ACCEPTANCE TERMS: Supplies will be inspected by Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and accepted at destination.
