Description

Wilmington VA Medical Center (WVAMC), Contracting Department intends to procure via sole source with manufacturer Carl Zeiss Meditec and their only authorized reseller Metro Medical, for the purchase a Zeiss Visucam with related parts and accessory es in addition to the license for the VAMC located at 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington DE 19805. The items being purchased must be compatible with the current Zeiss server. The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 339113. The size standard is 500 employees. The FSC is 6515. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement must submit information about their capabilities no later than 10:00 AM EST, 08/06/2014. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. No solicitation will be made available. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, april.stanch@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, WVAMC Contracting Department will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Carl Zeiss and their authorized reseller, Metro Medical.
