Description
Q & A for Interventional Cardiology requirement 1. Work hours (page 12 of SOW): "It calls for 10 week days/month and 2 weekends/month. "Can he work 2 weeks straight (2 weeks on/2 weeks off) - to have a block schedule. No, the call of duty would be coordinated with the other interventionalists who take call, and thus would vary. 2. P. 12 of SOW "Can you clarify what the "4 hours" per month are? Coming into the hospital to perform urgent/emergent cardiac catheterization procedures on off-tours, holidays and/ or weekends. "Is this primarily phone call only? ¦and 4 hours in the facility? The call is to perform urgent/emergent cardiac cath lab procedures. Therefore although the interventionalist is on call 10 weekdays and 2 weekend per month, it is expected that activation requiring coming into the hospital would be approx. 4 hours per month. "Is there 'STEMI" call? Usually that means he has to be in the cath lab within about 20 minutes. The call includes STEMI call, and the expected response time is 30 min. 3. Next section after work hour "It talks about teaching and supervising residents and students. Can you clarify how that works? Direct supervision of the on-call cardiology fellow and/or cardiology angioplasty fellow during the procedure. "Is he in the hospital supervising them? Yes, supervision during the procedure. 4. Item No: 0003,1003,2003,3003,4003 Reads, in part: "On-site services." There is a quantity of 48 and a unit of per hour. Is this meant to be per hour for services? Per case for on-site services? Any help clarify the requested description of the items would be very helpful. Per the PWS: 3.1.1.3 It is estimated that the total number of hours per month of the contract Cardiologist will be required to provide onsite services at the Minneapolis VA will not exceed 4 hours per month. 5. Is there a place to respond to the RFP with a description of services? Perhaps a cover letter or other location? Please send your proposal directly to daniel.vagts@va.gov no formal cover letter required.
