Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE SOLICITATION - VA69D-14-B-1423 Pre-solicitation announcement for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Tomah VA Medical Center, 500 East Veterans Street, Tomah, Wisconsin is hereby issued. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued for a Firm Fixed Priced, Masonry and Tuck Pointing Construction Contract. The contract duration will be 150 calendar days from the date of the issued Notice to Proceed. The contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, supervision, management, transportation, supplies and materials to perform construction services in accordance with attached Drawings and Specifications, applicable NFPA codes, and all national, state, and local building codes. This contract will include but not be limited to the sealing and tuck pointing of B404 and B406, as well as the sealing and tuck pointing of the courtyard wall between B404 and B403 per the project drawings and specifications. Contractor will also perform the necessary removal, storage, and reinstallation of equipment and certain other items. Contractors shall verify all existing conditions and dimensions. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), this procurement is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms (SDVOSB). In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), the SDVOSB must be verified in http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov to be eligible for award. Firms must also have current registrations with SAM (System for Award Management) at http://www.sam.gov and VETS 100 at http://dol.gov/vets/vets-100.html. The solicitation will be issued on/about August 18, 2014 with the bid opening on/about September 17, 2014. Dissemination of the solicitation will be limited to electronic medium. Interested Bidders (primes and subcontractors) should register at www.fedbizopps.gov so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement, and for automatic receipt of updates and amendments. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. By registering to "Receive Notifications", you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments prior to the time for receipt of bids. All requests for information are required to be in writing to the Contract Specialist at mark.graveline@va.gov. The subject line of the e-mail should read "VA69D-14-B-1423 - Seal and Tuck Point B404 & B406". No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The project magnitude range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238140. The small business size standard of $15.0 million applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
