- This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of an Invitation for Bid Package for its construction project, entitled "LAKE STATION SEWER REHAB SECTION 219" located in LAKE STATION, INDIANA. PROJECT INFORMATION: This project consists of sewer lining by CIPP for approximately 8500 linear feet of pipe in the Lake Station area. Work will also include the associated efforts of videotaping and cleaning pipes, installing bypass pumping as necessary, reinstating laterals, and protruding tap removal. PROJECT LOCATION: East 15th Avenue and Clay St Lake Station, IN 46405 ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is set aside for Small Business Concerns. The Classification Code for this procurement is North American Industry System Code 237110, with a small business size standard in dollars of $36.5M. The magnitude of cost for construction is between $500,000 ($500K) to $1,000,000 ($1.0M). The Invitation for Bid (IFB) Package will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Interested Offerors can download the IFB Package from: http://www.fbo.gov. The IFB Package will be available at the aforementioned Internet site on 12 August 2014, with bids due on 11 September 2014. IN THE CASE OF A DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE DATES PUBLISHED IN THIS NOTICE AND THOSE CALLED OUT IN THE IFB DOCUMENT, THE DATES IN THE IFB DOCUMENT OVERRIDES THOSE PUBLISHED HEREIN THIS NOTICE; THIS IS RELATIVE TO THE IFB ISSUANCE DATE AND THE DUE DATE FOR BIDS. In order for contractors to be awarded contracts with the Department of Defense, the contractor must be registered in the System for Contract Management (SAM); Contractors can access the SAM database for free at http://www.sam.gov.
