- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT OR ISSUE A SOLICITATION. This announcement is seeking information from the industry for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses. Interested parties responding to this Sources Sought Notice shall submit the following information at a minimum: (1) company name, address, point of contact with phone number, and DUNS number; (2) documentation relating to technical capability to conform to the Statement of Requirement; and (3) socio-economic status to identify business as being a SDVOSB, VOSB, SB, Woman Owned, Other than Small Business, etc. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be emailed to yvonne.kittling@va.gov no later than August 8, 2014, 10:00 AM EDT. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any costs for responses and information submitted. Statement of Requirement This notice uses a Brand Name or Equal Description of the product required. This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name. The Saint Louis VAMC is requesting an electrosurgical generator with argon beam coagulation reduce blood loss, procedure time and surgical smoke while performing various surgical procedures. Minimal Technical Specifications: -Must have a primary safety feature that is essential to patient safety and personnel safety to minimize any risks. -The generator must safety & warning alarms to alert the user during every surgical procedure. -Minimal risks of unintentional activation during procedures that may result in patient or staff injuries. -Must provide precise and accurate monopolar and bipolar energy used during every procedure. -Compatible with accessories such ABC Handpiece, grounding cord & Lap probe used during surgical procedures. -Pure cut mode 300 max.
