- Brand Name Justification Letter This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation reference number F4AT824170A002 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-76. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small businesses under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 333618. The small business size standard is 1,000 Employees. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be awarded in accordance with (IAW) FAR Part 13. This RFQ consists of the following Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN): CLIN 0001 : Genuine Detroit Diesel Cylinder Head - P/N R23504272AM (Quantity: 10 Each) ** A return cylinder head core shall be provided ** CLIN 0002 : Genuine Detroit Diesel Cylinder Piston Kit - P/N 23524340 (Quantity : 32 Each) CLIN 0003 : Genuine Detroit Diesel Fuel Injectors - P/N R5235670 (Quantity : 32 Each) ** A return injector core shall be provided ** CLIN 0004 : Genuine Detroit Diesel Cylinder Head Bolts - P/N 5148324 (Quantity : 120 Each) CLIN 0005 : Genuine Detroit Diesel Piston Rod Bolts - P/N 5148373 (Quantity : 64 Each ) CLIN 0006 : Genuine Detroit Diesel Piston Rod Bolt Spacer - P/N 5144846 (Quantity : 64 Each) CLIN 0007 : Genuine Detroit Diesel Piston Rod Bearing - P/N 5149572 (Quantity : 32 Each) This requirement is for Detroit Diesel BRAND NAME Parts Only, No "or equal" parts will be accepted EVALUATION FACTORS: IAW FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation - Commercial Items the Government intends to award a firm-fixed priced contract IAW FAR 13.1 & 13.302 resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government.
