Description
DCSO-Philadelphia pursuant to FAR part 6 and 12 intends to solicit on a sole source basis and small business setaside for the renewal of maintenance and support of Government owned Checkpoint software beginning 1 September 2014 through 31 July 2015. This maintenance is in support of the DLA Enterprise and will consist of (standard & premium) support for its Information Assurance (IA) products and cover at least 839 checkpoint products. CHECK POINT STANDARD SUPPORT: Enterprise Standard Support is required to deliver enterprise software subscription with comprehensive, unlimited support from certified security experts. On-line tools and resources devoted to Check Point security are needed to resolve mission-critical issues quickly and efficiently. This software subscription provides access to critical hot fixes, service packs, and major upgrades. The package also provides unlimited, comprehensive support from experienced engineers and ensures business continuity with 5x12 business day Web, Chat and Phone support, and 4 hour committed response from Check Point. Support center tools also initiate, manage, collaborate, and track Service Requests on-line, and provide active notifications via mail that will result in reduced SMS support time and costs. Checkpoint Appliance Support also ensures that replacement units are shipped on the same business day and subsequently occur within 2-3 business days. The package will allow DLA to efficiently diagnose hardware related issues utilizing using advanced tools, such as Return Materials Authorization (RMA) process by Check Point TAC (Technical Assistance Center) and hardware experts are available under the Optional Upgrade to Standard Onsite Support 5x8x Next Business Day and onsite service Delivery and basic installation of replacement hardware by a certified engineer Available in over 250 locations worldwide. CHECK POINT PREMIUM SUPPORT: Check Point Enterprise Premium Support ensures that DLA is provided with Enterprise Software Subscription coverage which includes comprehensive, 7x24 unlimited support from experienced and certified Checkpoint security experts. Included within this support are online tools, global 7x24 service centers, and committed 30 minute response times during which Check Point will resolve mission-critical issues. Software Subscription: This capability will allow DLA to access critical hot fixes, service packs, and major upgrades. DLA will be provided with unlimited and comprehensive support from experienced engineers and 30 minute response with Fast Path to premium desk. This ensures mission-critical support with 7x24 support and 30 minute committed TAC response for severity 1 issues and 2-hour response for severity 2 issues. DLA is free to access Check Point support center tools necessary to initiate, manage, collaborate, and track Service Requests online, including active notifications via mail or SMS Reduce support time and costs with Advanced Access to Secure Knowledge, which also provides auto notification on any new material which posted in subject area. Appliance Support: Replacement units will be shipped by Next Flight-Out/ Express Delivery (in mainland US and European Union). Appliances will be shipped during normal business hours and may arrive during off hours or next business day until 9AM. In addition, DLA will be provided with efficient hardware issue diagnosis using advanced tools Return Materials Authorization (RMA) process by Check Point TAC (Technical Assistance Center) Hardware experts. An Optional upgrade to Premium On-site Support is also available to DLA and provides 7x24 hours onsite service. In addition, delivery and basic installation of replacement hardware by a certified engineer will be available to DLA in over 250 locations worldwide. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A J&A supporting this sole source effort to Checkpoint will be posted shortly. It is anticipated that the RFQ for this requirement will be posted on or about 11 August 2014. Note this requirement is set aside for small business, those small business under the NAICS code who are authorized dealers or resellers of Checkpoint software are invited to participate in this acquisition effort.
