- Brand Name Justification (signed)_Redacted August 7, 2014 THIS AMENDMENT FOR CATERPILLAR ENGINES & PARTS IS TO INCLUDE: "estimated delivery date 30-45 days after award of contract" This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation reference number F4ATA34183A001 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-60. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small businesses under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 335312. The small business size standard is 1000 Employees. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 13. The Government anticipates on exchanging the existing core engines and turbochargers within 45 days of receipt of replacement parts. Offeror can submit a claim for equitable adjustment if existing parts have not been shipped within the 45 day window. Remanufactured/rebuilt equipment acceptable; NO "gray market" items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
