- The purpose of this pre-solicitation notice is to notify that the U.S. Geological Survey, National Water Quality Laboratory plans to solicit offers for Radiochemistry Laboratory Services under Solicitation No. G14PS00532. The Government intends to award a single requirements type contract with a period of performance of the base year and four one-year options. The contractor shall provide low-level radiochemical laboratory services, supplies and deliverables for analysis of water, sediment and other materials. This includes, but is not limited to, analysis for gross alpha-beta, uranium, radium strontium, plutonium, americium, lead-210, various gamma scan radioisotopes, and others by methods referenced in the solicitation. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS Code) is 541380 Test Laboratories with a size standard of $14.0 million. The Period of Performance (POP) will be for the base year and four one-year options. This requirement is a full and open competition with no set-asides. The contract type is a requirements type contract and will be awarded based on the Best Value to the Government. Solicitation No. G14PS00532 will be issued on or about August 21, 2012. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation notice and any/all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading at Federal Business Opportunities at www.fbo.gov and FedConnect at https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/Default.htm at no charge. No paper copies will be issued. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the aforementioned sites regularly for any updates/amendments to this requirement. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and must complete online Representations and Certifications and be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov.
