- Description
- This is a requirement for the Remanufacture of Flap Drive Ball Screw Transmission Assembly. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish repair, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the KC-135 Flap Drive Ball Screw Transmission Assembly. A firm fixed price requirements type contract is contemplated. The contract period will be one year with four one-year options. The items and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Remanufacture without Ballscrew Replacement of NSN 1650-00-621-0766FL, P/N 5-84049-11; Applicable to KC-135 aircraft; Basic Year Quantity, 155 each; Option I Year Quantity, 155 each; Option II Year Quantity, 155 each; Option III Year Quantity, 155 each; Option IV Year Quantity, 155 each. Item 0002: Remanufacture with Ballscrew Replacement of NSN 1650-00-621-0766FL, P/N 5-84049-11 Applicable to KC-135 aircraft; Basic Year Quantity, 15 each; Option I Year Quantity, 15 each; Option II Year Quantity, 15 each; Option III Year Quantity, 15 each; Option IV Year Quantity, 15 each. Item 0003: Over and Above Work; Item 0004: Data IAW DD1423s. Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from the Production Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): on or before 25 each within 60 days ARO per month after receipt of order and repairables followed by 25 each every 30 days thereafter. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additional sources. APPROVED SOURCES are: Derco Repair Services, Inc; Mid-America Aviation, Inc; Able Engineering and component Services, Inc DBA Able Aerospace Services; The Triumph Group Operations, Inc DBA Triumph Accessory Services; Oxwell, Inc; Airtronics, Inc; Thomas Instrument, Inc DBA Thomas Instrument and The Boeing Company DBA Boeing. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 22 Aug 2014. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
