- Solicitation F14PS01068 Region 3, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to sole source a requirement per FAR 6.302-1(2), for a model 3000, Adaptive Resolution Imaging Sonar (ARIS), Underwater Acoustic Camera, Dual Frequency, 3.0MHz and 1.8MHz, and accessories to include ARIS Control and Display software application and depth rating of 300 meters. Region 3, has implemented a Great Lakes surveillance program for Asian Carp and identifies the use of high resolution sonars as a critical piece of the program. The equipment is manufactured by Sound Metrics Corporation and distributed by Ocean Marine Industries, Inc., Chesapeake, VA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334511, Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, with a business size standard of 750. This notice of intent is not a request for quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based on responses, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
