Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI) on a Muzzle Flash Simulator. Funding is not available for any information or proposals submitted. Submitting information does not bind the Air Force for any future contracts/grants resulting from this RFI. The findings from this Market Research effort may impact any future solicitations related to this requirement. This Market Research is not a solicitation as defined by FAR 2.101, and the Government is not requesting offers or proposals at this time. Any responses to this RFI Request for Information received by the Government will not be accepted to form a binding contract. This is a Request for Information and does not constitute a solicitation or request for proposal. This is a market survey for planning purposes and no award will be made as a result of this sources sought notice. If a solicitation is issued, the Government does not guarantee that it will be issued to RFI respondents. The Government is also requesting that restrictive or proprietary markings not be used in response to the RFI. The Government is looking for information on companies that can provide a Muzzle Flash Simulator that, at a minimum, has the following: 1) System must be portable and not permanently mounted to any live fire pop-up target scoreable range 2) System must be able to simulate a variety of enemy engagements, including but not limited to single shot fire, three round burst fire, sporadic fire, and fire/reload/fire 3) System must be actuated by a switch that is mounted to the lifting mechanism of the target. I.E, when the target is down the system does not engage, when the target is up it will simulate the required engagement until the target is hit, at which point the target will drop and the system ends the simulation 4) System must be able to be powered by standard 110V AC plug 5) System must be all weather capable 6) System that allows one control box with two led light shot simulators No telephonic submissions will be honored. All product information shall be submitted at no cost or obligation to the government.
