Description
Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a firm fixed price sole source purchase order to Federal Signal Corporation Doing Business As: Federal Signal-Codespear - 2645 Federal Signal Dr, University Park, IL, 60466-3167, for the purchase of for 2 x MOD8032B Omni-Directional Electronic Siren - 124dB @ 100FT/30m; 2 x UVTD Digital, 2-way, No Radio; 16 x UV400 Amplifier - 400W; 2 x Digital Voice Mini SD Card; 1 x DVR-Copy; 2 each of the following: M/A-com M73000 Radio UHF, 810-DET-12R-P Dual Obstruction light, MIC Noise Cancelling, Model variation MOD6032B for obstruction light, MOD6024/6032 Install w/ Batteries-custom, Pole 50', system optimization configuration & setup per activation plus installation of all equipment. The Mass Notification System shall be provided to cover Fort Hood Cantonment, West Fort Hood, North Fort Hood and Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area providing real time information via prerecorded messages, siren/tone alerts, and live voice transmissions to personnel outside of buildings during emergency situations. The Mass Notification System shall not disrupt the maintenance or void the sustainment/contract with TACOM Installation Protection Program on the Mass Notification System's in Place throughout Fort Hood, Texas. The Mass Notification System shall be covered under the sustainment contract of TACOM. The Government intends to enter into a firm fixed price requirements with to Federal Signal Corporation Doing Business As: Federal Signal-Codespear. This acquisition is conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available due to proprietary ownership of requested items and no other sources will be able to accurately satisfy agency requirements. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334290- Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing with a size standard of 750 employees.
