Description
Purchase and Installation of a Powered Sliding Gate System Synopsis: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-73. The solicitation number for this requirement is W91ZLK-14-T-0506. This requirement is being solicited as Total Small Businesses Set- Aside. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332323 Fences and gates (except wire), metal, manufacturing. The Government contemplates award of a Firm-Fixed Price contract to the lowest priced technically acceptable responsible offeror. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: CLIN 0001 Qty 1, EA: Purchase and installation of a Sliding Motorized Gate System: Gate salient characteristics are: It should be a 30 feet wide X 8 feet +1 Aluminum Cantilever Slide gate. Gate fabric should be 9 Gauge, galvanized with 2 quote mark Mesh and 3 strands of 12.5 Gauge Galvanized barb wire. Motor for the gate salient characteristics are: It must be a Brand Name or Equal Chamberlain Liftmaster Industrial Chain Driven Slide Gate operator Model SL585 for use on gates up to 1600 lbs and 35 feet openings, 1 horsepower 230 VAC. Single phase. It must include a Post mount kit for the slide gate operator motor, Reno BX 4 Dual Voltage detector for safety reverse and/or free exit. Slide Gate Operator Electronic features included are, Built-in Receiver GL Logic control board Interrupt & exit loop input 24 VAC Accessory output UL325 entrapment alarm with external reset Compatible with most access control devices & safety accessories integrated maglock control High starting torque, continuous duty motor with overload protection. Mechanical features are, heavy duty wormgear-in-oil gear reducer Gate speed of 11 inches per second Fully adjustable driven limit system Automatic braking system High durability powder coat finish Robust 7 gauge steel frame Standard manual release system Pad and post mount standard Supplied with 25 ft. of nickel-plated chain Adjustable friction clutch system Heavy duty shaft bearings Pad lockable-resistant lockable cover. Installation requires, inground loops sawcut in asphalt, concrete pad for card reader pedestal, gate post to be 4 quote mark OD Galvanized SS40 to be set in ground (dirt) with concrete footers. All trenching and underground boring from building over to new gate operators and keypad pedestal, 1 quote mark conduits from building to gate operator for power requirement, 1 quote mark conduit from gate operator to keypad pedestal, and all power terminations at electric panel and slide gate operators. Contractor will install sliding gate and motorized gate opener on site to include all applicable permits and inspections of equipment. This constitute trenching and underground boring from building over to new gate operators and keypad pedestal, in ground loops sawcut in asphalt and all power terminations at electric panel and slide gate operators. Contractor will be responsible for all materials, labor, and equipments needed for the installation as well as the removal and disposal of the old gate. The Department of Public Works will provide the digging approval prior to start of job. Coordination shall be completed with the Contracting Officer Representative before any digging is done. Location: US Army RDECOM, (Edgewood Area) E4301 Otto Rd, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21010. All quotations must be signed, dated, and submitted via email to rex.m.valdez2.civ@mail.mil by 15 August 2014 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
