Description
THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED AS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This notice DOES NOT constitute a Request for Proposal or complete package outlining the technical competencies/qualifications of the prospective contractor, nor does it represent any commitment by the Government. Since this is a Sources Sought announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. A solicitation does not presently exist. Services to be provided include Clock Restoration and Synchronization in the E. Barrett Prettyman Courthouse, 333 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. The E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse is a historic building in Washington, D.C. was built in 1949-50 and currently houses both the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. The Courtroom and Judges Chambers in this courthouse have executive clocks that are indigenous to the building and are historic in nature. There are approximately 55 of these clocks, 22 in the courtrooms and 33 in the Judge's Chambers that are in need of restoration and synchronization. These clocks have deficiencies that range from missing hands, to clocks being totally inoperable. In addition, there are approximately 155 standard clocks that are being requested to be synchronized in conjunction with the executive clocks. Complete clock restoration of executive clocks, with wireless synchronization of all of the standard wall clocks throughout the building, is the intent of this project. Specific requirements of the project include: •· Retain the aesthetics of the existing executive clocks. •· Executive clocks should be configured for synchronization. •· Synchronized clocks system should make time corrections that will include daylights savings time adjustment, without manual assistance. •· Verify that power is available at all clock locations. If power is not available, provide a list of locations missing power and present a proposal to remedy the situation. •· Provide maintenance agreement option. •· Survey the entire worksite and be familiar with the existing conditions. •· Provide suggestions phasing options. •· Selection of standard clocks will be made by building management.
