Attachment 04 - KNF Food Storage Order Attachment 02 - Experience Questionnaire Attachment 01 - Wage Determiation Solicitation A. Base Bid. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, transportation, supervision, operating supplies, materials, and incidentals, necessary to reside the exterior of the Shop/Engine Storage Building #2100 located at the Former Libby Ranger Station (Libby Site). Caution: There is overhead power in the area. The Shop/Engine Storage Building is estimated to have approximately 3,490 square feet (gross area) of surface that needs to be resided; however, the contractor shall verify the actual surface area to be resided. The work shall include: a. The work shall consist of any surface prep of the building to create a uniform smooth surface. This may include removing existing trim, removal and disposal of any loose paint, or furring out areas. All materials removed must be disposed of properly off site. Contractor shall supply any furring strips as necessary. b. The contractor shall remove and frame-in a total of 12 windows (consisting of either windows or boarded up window frames). Framing shall consist of 2x4s and 3/4-inch plywood for sheathing. All holes shall be filled with fiberglass insulation prior to covering. All interior finishing shall not be performed as a part of this contract. Western side has a framed in garage door that will need to be prepared for siding. This may require furring out the wall or re-inclosing the garage door opening. c. 1/4-inch foam insulation board shall be installed board over the existing siding. d. Install vinyl siding, trim, soffit and fascia per manufactures recommendations. Vinyl siding shall have a minimum thickness of 0.046 inches. Cover all the corbels with the vinyl siding material or vinyl trim material. Replace all soffit/gable vents. Remove, replace, or encase all trim work. Various small holes and/or vents must be covered or removed prior to siding the walls. NOTE: Conduit on the exterior of the building, light fixtures, electric lines, furnace vents, and other utilities shall remain exposed and shall be placed on top of the new siding. i. COLORS: Siding and Trim Colors shall be selected by the CO after award based on the standard color palette of the siding manufacturer. ii. Soffit material may be vinyl or aluminum. B. Option 1. The contractor shall replace 9 windows with vinyl thermal pane windows that are Energy Star rated for the Northern Climate Zone. Eight (8) of the windows currently have windows in them, and the last window frame has been boarded up. The window sizes are: 4 @ 4.5' high x 3' wide and 5 @ 3.5' high x 3' feet wide. All sizes are nominal and the contractor must verify all window measurements. All windows shall be single hung style windows. C. Option 2. The contractor shall replace the front door (man door) with an insulated steel door that is Energy Star rated for the Northern Climate Zone which has a window with safety glass. The contractor shall retain and reuse the existing door knob. 1.1 PROJECT LOCATION D. This project is located at the Shop/Engine Storage Building #2100 located at the Former Libby Ranger Station (Libby Site) compound located at 1263 MT Hwy 37, Libby, MT 59923. The Libby Site is located on Kootenai National Forest property, approximately 1.2 miles east of Libby, Montana, via Montana Highway 37. Estimated Value: Below $30,000
