Description

This is sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Hampton, 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, Virginia 23667 is seeking potential sources capable to provide all transportation, tools, specialized equipment, personnel protective equipment, supervision and technical expertise to accomplish all the tasks detailed below in Specific Requirements related to performing quarterly inspections, preventative maintenance measures and repairs associated with the station's Medical Gas equipment. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811219, Medical Gas Equipment Standard size is $19M. THIS IS NOT THE COMPLETE DESCRIPTION LIST: Requirements: The Contractor will be required to perform inspections and produce reports associated with the services provided. Work on this contract will be accomplished during the first two (2) weeks of October, January, April and July each contract year. The Medical Gas equipment items are considered mission-critical and function in direct support of patient care at the facility. Contractor personnel must be formally certified (ASSE 6040) to accomplish all tasks associated with this contract. In-accordance with the Maintenance Plan/Schedule, accomplish preventive maintenance and service to include cleaning equipment; and providing and replacing routine parts and materials such as oil, filters (air and oil), belts, desiccant and any other manufacturer recommended items. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: name and address of company, business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories-8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; provide a brief description of qualifications and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates the ability to meet the above requirement. Subject line must reflect: "Medical Gas Equipment Sources Sought".
