Description
The Government requires ClearCube, ClearClient2 enclosure with a KVM and four CD7724 ClearCube zero clients and associated warranties for day to day use at Raven Rock Mountain Complex. The delivery of the equipment shall be performed in accordance with the attached specification requirement list. The estimated delivery/completion period for this activity is ninety to one hundred twenty (90-120) days from the date of the contract award. The ClearCube 2 zero client device packs four (4) high end zero clients, with built in NIPR CAC or SIPR token card readers and a KVM switch, into a box measuring 6 inches (w) x 14 inches (h) x 10 inches (d) (about one square foot). The power consumption is 12 watts. In a count of exterior cable connections, for this particular "four-in-one zero client" box, there is only one power cable, four network cables, one keyboard, one mouse, one microphone headphone cable, and two or more video out cables. The space required for a normal PC based set up, is well over 40 cubic feet or more than 40 times the space of ClearClient2 Solution. A typical PC requires about 80 watts of power, and with the KVM switch, that amounts to about 340 watts of power, or more than 25 times the power (and heat) at the users' end than the ClearCube 2 solution. In summary, our requirements are for a device that: • Combines a KVM switch and four zero clients, each zero client with an auto-negotiating CAC or token card reader, in a footprint less than one square foot. • Uses 12 watts of power for all the devices listed above. • Has a Teradici II chip set for PCoIP. • The KVM must meet DOD Information Assurance specifications. Each zero client should: o support two (2) DVI (or Display Port) monitor connections. o accept multimode fiber LC plug in. o support two or more USB ports. o have both audio and video inputs and outputs.
