Description
The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, (USAMRAA) in support of U. S. Army Medical Materiel Agency, (USAMMA) intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) with Doubleday Acquisitions LLC, DBA Accutemp 2900 Dryden Road, Dayton, OH 45439-1618, for the procurement of approximately 128 each Vaccine Carrying Case, Model# PX6L-S-2-8. The USAMMA/DOC mission is to provide BIO-Defense vaccine distribution and support to the Department of Defense. Vaccines are temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals that must be maintained between specific temperature ranges during transport. This product is used for the distribution or re-distribution of temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals for short movement of less than 24 hours. Cold chain storage containers must maintain the vaccine at a temperature range between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. The standards for evaluating the containers are outlined in MIL-STD-810G, Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Testing. The Distribution Operations Center has initiated a testing program for products intended for military environments. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339113 and the size standard of 500. This announcement constitutes the only notice by the government; a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest by submitting a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to the point of contact listed below. This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. If no written responses are received by the date listed below, which reflects fifteen (15) days after the publication of this notice, the purchase will be awarded without further remarks. All questions and responses concerning this notice shall be emailed to Ms. Sheila Watford at sheila.r.watford.civ@mail.mil. Interested concerns must identify their capability in writing to the above e-mail address or by mail to the address listed below no later than 11:00 pm EST, Thursday, August 27, 2014.
