- Description This RFI seeks to identify subject matter expertise within academia and industry along with novel, cost effective approaches utilizing cyberspace technologies (existing or emerging) to enable and support enduring cyberspace superiority. This RFI focuses on but is not limited to solutions utilizing cyberspace technologies that contribute to the success of the following key areas of military cyberspace operations: -Situational Awareness -Reconnaissance -Battle Damage Assessment -Secure Communication -Information Assurance Principal topics and applications of interest include but are not restricted to the following: -Ubiquitous Computing -Decision Support Systems -Artificial Intelligence -Genetic Programming -Advanced Automation -Human Computer Interaction -Vulnerability Analysis -Digital Forensics -Malware Threat Analysis -Reverse Engineering RFI Objective Obtain awareness of sources for relevant expertise along with promising capabilities or research efforts that possess potential to significantly bolster military cyberspace capabilities and operations. Desired information includes a basic description of the technology (including references if available) as well as a description of how it may be used and what benefits it would provide with anticipated or known costs applicable to the technology only. If possible, also include expert opinion on when this technology will reach a significant level of maturity or commercialization if it is emerging. Response Responses to this RFI are to be received no later than 17:00 Eastern Time, 5 SEP 2014. All interested parties shall respond in as clear and concise a manner as possible to each of the areas listed above. Information must be in soft-copy form in Microsoft Word, Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF), and/or Microsoft PowerPoint and shall not exceed 10 (ten) pages. Main text provided in PDF or Microsoft Word formats must be in Times New Roman, Calibri or Arial fonts with a minimum 12 point size and one inch margins. You may forward your responses via email address to: usarmy.apg.cerdec.mbx.i2wd-app-cyber-tech-rfi@mail.mil Subject Line: APPLIED CYBERSPACE TECHNOLOGIES 2014 RFI Acknowledgement of receipt will be issued via email to the submitting party's email address or to the email address of the identified point of contact provided in shipped responses. Requests for additional information may be submitted via email to the same address as the one used for RFI submission. Telephone requests for additional information will not be answered. Unless proprietary, information received in response to this RFI will become property of the U.S. Army and may be used at the discretion of the federal government. Submitting parties are responsible for clearly and adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. No material submitted will be returned. Supplemental Information Potential sources sought to manage and support any efforts resulting from this RFI should be capable of performing classified work (all levels) in appropriately accredited facilities and maintain adequately cleared personnel during any resulting contracts' period of performance. The information provided and received in response to this announcement is subject to the conditions set forth in FAR 52.215-3 -- Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes. The NAICS classification for the services sought with this RFI is 54151. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to apply. Small business concerns that comply with the aforementioned NAICS classification standard are encouraged to respond, indicating their status under the subordinate subcategories, if applicable ( i.e., small disadvantaged small business, women-owned small business, service disabled veteran owned small business, etc.).
