Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, bids, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center is planning to solicit for a vendor to provide a middleware solution for point of care (POC) testing connectivity that can be used to post patient test results into the hospital's laboratory information system, VISTA. This software allows the end user to monitor tests done via POC and help the laboratory meet numerous accreditation requirements for POC testing performed throughout VISN12 laboratories. This module should be specific for instrumentation used for laboratory POC testing. The middleware software is used to post patient results to the permanent record. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center/ VA Milwaukee is conducting a market survey to determine the existence of potential small business concerns (e.g., HUBZone, 8(a), SDVOSB, Woman Owned, etc.) with the capability to accomplish this. The Vendor performance must be in compliance with all applicable state, federal and local laws and regulations. Interested parties shall provide a brief overview of their firm's capabilities and past experience with projects similar in scope to this project. All information shall be submitted in Word or PDF format, not to exceed 10 pages, including all attachments. Each submittal shall also include the following business information: a.DUNS number b.Organization Name c.Organization Address d.Point of Contact (including name, title, addresses, telephone number, fax number and Email address) e.Business size f.Socio-economic status ( IF SDVOSB or VOSB - provide SDVOSB or VOSB CVE verification) Firms shall identify whether or not they are a small business or other than small business in accordance with the size standard for NAICS code 541519. If another NAICS code may be applicable, please identify the NAICS in your capability statement. All information must be received no later than: August 20, 2014, 2:00 PM, CST. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s).
