- Support implementation in the study named "Characterization of Anopheles darlingi behavior as it relates to malaria vector competency using experimental huts and malaria vector incrimination in transmission hot-spots in the Peruvian Amazon" by: a. Assisting with the technical assessment and laboratory assessment at the research sites in Iquitos and Zungarococha, Loreto, to include the development of the standard operating procedures, laboratory work related to processing of mosquito samples, research and investigation work related to mosquito identification and characterization of physiological status, and training work on mosquito collection, preservation and identification. The technical assessment includes personnel services for mosquito collections, mosquito behavioral assays and mosquito dissections to complete the tasks required. b. Assisting in the logistical support sites in Loreto and Lima to include shipping of entomological samples, equipment for insect collection and identification, documentations and other items; purchase and shipment of field and laboratory equipment including insect traps, microscopes, insect dissection tools, personal protective equipment and any other item needed for this research project, purchase and shipment of office supplies including notebooks, binders, printer toner, CDs, paper, markers, pencils, pens, hole puncher, stapler, scissors for events, conferences, trainings and office support, and purchase and shipment of laboratory supplies. c. Perform several technical assessment visits at local within Peru and overseas sites including collaborators' research institutions (Notre Dame University, Wageningen University), to include travel tickets, lodging arrangements and costs, per diem costs and other related travel requirements to visit field sites in Loreto, collaborators' research institutions (Notre Dame, U.S.; Wageningen, the Netherlands) and attending international conferences in the U.S. and/or Europe. Period of period of performance : 1 year Payment terms : via EFT or US treasury
