- Solicitation W912P5-14-T-0098 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a 3500GPM Vertical Turbine Pump. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Contractor shall provide a new unwatering pump and motor to meet or exceed the specifications of the existing equipment. The specifications of the existing pump are as follows: • Manufacturer: Fairbanks Morse Pump & Electric Division • Type: Centrifugal, Vertical Deep Well, Turbine Pump • Stage: Single • Size: 16 HC • Head: 80-Ft. • RPM: 1770 • GPM: 3500 • Impeller Diameter: Sized for 3500 GPM • Figure: 6922 • Note: The serial number of the existing pump is K2P2059485 The specifications of the existing motor are as follows: • Manufacturer: Westinghouse • Style: 71C15332 • Frame: 404TP • Model: TUDP • Electrical: 3-Phase 60-Hertz • RPM: 1775 • Horsepower: 100 • Volts/Amps: 460/114 • Duty Cycle: 24 hours • Temperature Rise: 40 degrees C • Insulation Class: B • KVA Code: F • Full Load Amps: 120 The Contractor shall provide any additional ancillary items as required in order to meet the manufacturer's installation requirements. The Contractor shall provide, for review and approval by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), the following unit data submittals within one week of contract award: Manufacturer's information on all materials, including SDS (MSDS) sheets, product data sheets, electrical and mechanical specifications, wiring and connection diagrams, and all manual(s) to cover the installation, operation, maintenance and service. The contract resulting from this solicitation will contain one line item: CLIN 0001 for 1 each 3500GPM Vertical Turbine Pump, including any shipping charges. Delivery: The items shall be delivered within Sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of a signed copy of the contract. Arrangements shall be made with the below point of contact prior to delivery. The clause at 52.246-17 Warranty of Supplies of a Non-Complex Nature applies to this acquisition, and subparagraph (b)(1) of the clause is edited as follows: "Notwithstanding inspection and acceptance by the Government of supplies furnished under this contract, or any condition of this contract concerning the conclusiveness thereof, the Contractor warrants that for one year -- (i) All supplies furnished under this contract will be free from defects in material or workmanship and will conform with all requirements of this contract; and (ii) The preservation, packaging, packing, and marking, and the preparation for, and method of, shipment of such supplies will conform with the requirements of this contract." Subparagraph (c)(1) of the clause is edited as follows: "The Contracting Officer shall give written notice to the Contractor of any breach of warranties in paragraph (b)(1) of this clause within 45 days." In instances where the material or equipment manufacturer's advertised minimum warranty is in excess of one year, it shall remain in force for its full period. The transition section of discharge piping is 6'2-1/2" to center line (discharge center line) for an overall total length of 16'2-1/2" from bottom of the pump base to center line of discharge. The facility manager has determined that the particulars of the installation associated with the pump and motor, and the questions resulting from the specifications, make a site visit by potential offerors necessary. Attendance at the site visit will be a prerequisite for award. Interested offerors to supply the components for this RFQ should visit the Cordell Hull Power Plant on Wednesday, 27 August 2014 at 10:00 hours (EDT) for a pre-bid meeting to have their questions addressed to determine specifications for requested equipment. The physical location of the Power Plant is: Cordell Hull Power Plant, 150 Corps Lane, Carthage Tennessee 37030. Attendees to the site visit must have proper photo identification and/or credentials to furnish to USACE.
