Description
SOLE SOURCE NOTICE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS/QUOTES The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Altus AFB has a requirement for an upgrade to an existing MC 306 fire trainer trailer while maintaining the performance requirements of NFPA 472. The upgrade will consist of adding the following props: Prop 1- A leaking dome cover, mounted on the side of the tanker to simulate a roll over. Prop 2- A 6" crack on the side of the tanker. Prop 3- A 16" crack on the side of the tanker. Prop 4- A leaking split flange valve. Prop 5- Puncture holes (½", 1 ½" & 2") Prop 6- Puncture holes (3", 4" & 6") Prop 7- Corrosion hole (13"x16") Prop 8- 12" crack on the bottom side of the tank Prop 9- Puncture holes (½", 1 ½" & 2") on the bottom side of the tank Prop 10- Leaking outlet valve with a defective gasket in the cab Prop 11- Leaking gauging device packing nut Prop 12- Open outlet valve that can discharge the water no less than 15 feet from the outlet itself Altus Fire Emergency Services (AFES) requires training equipment in order to receive and maintain certification as Hazardous Materials Responders in accordance with NFPA Standards. Furthermore, Altus Fire Emergency Services (AFES) requires the inspection of said equipment be conducted annually for safety and operational capability IAW NFPA. WRG Fire Training Simulation Systems has shown they are capable of providing AFES with quality training simulation equipment required to obtain initial certification and maintain proficiency thereafter. The 97th Contracting Flight intends to make award to WRG Fire Training Simulation Systems.
