- Sole Source J&A THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS! The 45th Contracting Squadron has a sole source requirement for Total Lightning Sensor 200 (TLS200) Training, Total Lightning Database System (TLD100) and Software Training, Total Lightning Processor (TLP100) Training, and Extended Warranty for the Lightning System network for one year. This is a Sole Source with Vaisala IAW FAR 6.302-1. Vaisala is the only source capable of fulfilling the government's requirement Vaisala is the manufacturer, sole distributor, and sole source for maintenance of the the 4 Dimensional Lightning Detection System.Vaisala has not given the proprietary parts or information to any other contractor to allow reselling or distributing. No other contractor gives the certified training to certify ERTS technicians to Level 2. Only Vaisala can provide this proprietary information and warranty. The attached Sole Source Justification has been made available for review. No solicitation documents exists at this time. This item/service utilizes North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 611420. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Vaisala is the only source capable of providing this requirement.
