- market survey DLA Land and Maritime is contemplating a Long Term Contract (3 years plus 2 option years) for the subject NSN. Attached is a Market Survey Form. If you are interested in being providing feedback for preparation of the Request For Propsals, please review the attached Market Survey and provide it to the primary point of contact. CARTRIDGE, WATER DEMINERALIZER, ION EXCHANGE (CARTRIDGE BROMINE) HAZARDOUS MATERIAL - NEEDS AN MSDS SHEET EPA REGISTRATION/LABELING REQUIRED. MERCURY OR MERCURY CONTAINING COMPOUNDS SHALL NOT BE INTENTIONALLY ADDED TO,OR COME IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH,ANY HARDWARE OR SUPPLIES FURNISHED UNDER THIS CONTRACT. EXCEPTION: FUNCTIONAL MERCURY USED IN BATTERIES, FLUORESCENT LIGHTS, REQUIRED INSTRUMENTS; SENSORS OR CONTROLS; WEAPON SYSTEMS; AND CHEMICAL ANALYSIS REAGENTS SPECIFIED BY NAVSEA. PORTABLE FLUORESCENT LAMPS AND PORTABLE INSTRUMENTS CONTAINING MERCURY SHALL BE SHOCK PROOF AND CONTAIN A SECOND BOUNDARY OF CONTAINMENT OF THE MERCURY OR MERCURY COMPOUND. (IAW NAVSEA 5100-003D). THE CONTRACTOR OR ITS VENDOR WILL TEST EACH TOTE/BULK CONTAINER OF DRY RESIN MATERIAL FOR "DRYNESS" CONFORMANCE AT THE POINT OF CANISTER FILL AND PRIOR TO FILLING THE CANISTERS BY SAMPLING EACH TOTE/BULK CONTAINER BY POURING 50 ML OF THE DRY RESIN MATERIAL THROUGH A 60 DEG. ANGLE FUNNEL WITH A STEM SIX (6) INCHES LONG WITH AN INSIDE DIAMETER OF 0.138 INCHES (3.5MM). THE MATERIAL SHALL FLOW FREELY BY ITSELF WITH NO PHYSICAL PRESSURE APPLIED TO THE RESIN MATERIAL IN THE GLASS FUNNEL. THE FAILURE OF THE RESIN MATERIAL TO FLOW FREELY (AS DESCRIBED ABOVE) THROUGH THE GLASS FUNNEL SHALL CONSTITUTE A FAILURE OF THE MATERIAL AND SHALL CAUSE REJECTION OF THE RESIN MATERIAL WITHIN THAT INDIVIDUAL TOTE/BULK CONTAINER.
