Description

The purpose of this amendment 1 is to Answer the following questions and extend the response date to 8/22/14: Question 1:Does the microscope need to be motorized - if so what components should be motorized? Answer: Yes. Microscope needs to be on an XY motorized translation stage. Question 2: What objective magnifications are needed? Answer: 2 or 2.5X and 60X to start with. Question 3: What type of stage is needed? Answer: Fixed. Question 4: Does the user prefer that the stage moves or that the scope moves? (should this is manual movement or motorized?) Answer: microscope moves, needs to be motorized stage see #1. Question 5: Is fluorescence needed now and/or in the future? If so, what labels will be used (what filter cubes are needed)? Answer: In the future. GFP, m-cherry, td-tomato. Question 6: Is a camera needed - if so, what kind - digital (CCD, CMOS?) or analog? Answer: Cooled CCD. Question 7: Is a monitor, computer, software needed? Answer: Yes. but it can also be purchased separately.
