- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Precision Strike Weapons - PMA-201, intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) order to The Boeing Company under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-11-G-0001. This acquisition implements the Harpoon Germany Navy (GN) Engineering Change Proposal for Foreign Military Sales (FMS). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the Harpoon weapon system and its related equipment. Boeing alone has the experience, special skills, proprietary technical documentation, software/algorithms, facilities and manufacturing techniques required to produce, assemble and integrate this equipment and furnish the supplies and ancillary services within the required timeframe. Accordingly, Boeing is the only known qualified, responsible source that can fulfill the requirements specified herein. Once NAVAIR finalizes its requirements for the subject effort, a prerequisite for receiving a contract award is registration in the System for Award Management database. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above.
