- Questions and Answers 1) Question: Will the unserviceable core engines get shipped to the contractor for remanufacturing purposes? Answer: The cost to ship the unservicable core, if applicable, will be paid by the government. the cost to ship the Core will be evaluated along with the Core credit earned to determine whether shipping the Core will be beneficial to the end user. The government reserves the right to not ship the Core if it is of no benefit to the end user 2) Question: Will the government consider alternative transportation methods from the Lower 48 to reduce the cost of a 3rd party freight company? One alternative would be using any routine Air Force air cargo flights into Eielson. Answer: Eielson AFB will not be able to utilize alternate shipping methods for this acquisition. The Winning Contractor will provide shipping to Eielson AFB. Please include the cost of shipping with your quote. 3) Question: What is the serial numbers of the unserviceable engine? Answer: The Serial number is: 08VF181617 4) Question: What is the desired PN# for the engine? Answer: The Desired Part Number is: RE8V92DDEC 5) Question: What are the last 8 digits of the Vehicle Identification Number for the Oshkosh Fire Truck?
