- The NGB is performing market research to ascertain the interest, capabilities, and rough order of magnitude (ROM) life cycle costs, of available solutions within the IT industry which would implement an improved information exchange capability. The CNGB is required to provide timely and accurate information on NG domestic operations activities and capabilities as the principal advisor to the Secretary of Defense, through the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, on matters involving non-federalized National Guard forces and on other matters as determined by the Secretary of Defense. This information exchange will facilitate cross-domain (.mil,.gov, and.org) reporting and situational awareness (location, activity, capability, availability, etc.) during domestic operations for 55 NG entities (NGB and 54 State JFHQs), DoD, DHS, and other Federal partners, and supporting NGOs. This situational awareness capability will need to be shared, at near real-time, across.mil,.gov, and.org domains, supporting data classified no higher than For Official Use Only (FOUO) level.
