- AMENDMENT NOTICE:This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.The solicitation number is DOE-NETL-14-002 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-76. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339111 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2014-09-03 11:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Pittsburgh, PA 15236 The DOE - National Energy Technology Laboratory requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001: Discover SP Microwave system w/ ActiVent Technology, 12V, Features: -Ample power (0-300W) for broad range of syntheses -Automated pressure device w/ ActiVent?- safest pressure relief mechanism -Max. operating pressure: 30bar (435psi) -Runs pressurized reactions in 10mL & 35mL vials (no tools required to assemble) -Runs reflux reactions using standard lab glassware (5-125mL RBF) -Large cavity, w/ protective spill cup, grants full-hand access to simplify routine maintenance -Volume-independent IR temp control (0-300?C) reduces # of vial sizes to stock -Variable speed stirring -Utilizes compressed air to rapidly cool (quench) reactions -System control from easy-to-use Synergy? software or on-board keypad -Communication ports for accessories & external control -Standard electrical outlet required Included: 10mL vials/caps (100 each), 35mL vials/caps (5 each), open vessel kit, stir bars, Microwave Synthesis book (CD-ROM), USB drive, Synergy? software, operations manual, 1, EA; LI 002: Fiber Optic Temperature Control Option, This option allows for internal temperature monitoring and feedback control up to 250 ?C. Includes (1) control box, (1) communication cable, and (1) fiber optic temperature probe. This control option is compatible with the Discover 80-mL accessory., 1, EA; LI 003: Self-Installation, Customer installs system with provided self-installation instructions, technical support available., 1, EA; LI 004: Applications & Technical Support, Lifetime applications support., 1, EA; Solicitation and Buy Attachments ***Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the Buyer to respond. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, DOE - National Energy Technology Laboratory intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. DOE - National Energy Technology Laboratory is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids.All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com.
