- Description
- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency?s (EPA) Headquarters Procurement Operations Division intends to issue a sole-source purchase order under the authority of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisitions, to SenSevere LLC. The purpose of this requirement is to purchase two SenSevere central wireless bromide sensor-central reporting modules, two other than bromide wireless sensors, design of auxiliary systems for field use of two currently owned sensors, and server software. All of these sensors will have the following features and capabilities: Wireless reporting, encryption, connections of at least five sensors, compatibility of previously ordered bromide and ph sensors (notice TF-HPOD-13-0014 dated 9/25/13), rechargeable power supply for at least 30 days and back-up operation after battery alarm for 3 days, NEMA-4X severe environment certified to ensure water and dust-proof operation, GPS transmitter, on-board data co llection, anti-tampering precautions and detection, chain of evidence and security, auto calibration and self-diagnosis of system problems. Server software system capable of: collecting, decrypting, and displaying data transmitted, historical plotting, custom reports, download of historical data, remotely control measurement parameters, correlate data with weather?specifically rainfall patterns in real time, chain of evidence security, auto-calibration and self-diagnosis of system problems. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE IS AVAILABLE: SenSevere LLC is the only supplier capable of providing a platform and system that has a bromide sensor with the capability of detecting levels below 80 ppb, self-monitoring with auto-calibration, operating without recharging power for 30 days, and wireless transmission of real-time data. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting the EPA?s requirement may submit a response, which if received within six days of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon the responses is solely within the discretion of the government.
