- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Priced contract under the Foreign Comparative Test (FCT) program for testing and evaluation of the Mobile Gunnery Live Fire Monitor System (MGLFMS) to Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG (KMW), Krauss-Maffei-Strasse 11, 80997, Munich, Germany. The award amount is $475,000. MGLFMS is a tank and Infantry Fighting Vehicle gunnery training device that wirelessly transmits live audio and visual feeds with the inclusion of weapon systems data to a mobile monitor station. The MGLFMS enables instructors to evaluate crew functions from up to 5000 meters away, make instantaneous corrections, and provides recording capability for detailed after action reviews, thus improving first hit ratios. Subpart 206.302-1(b) of the DFARS permits contracting officers to use the authority of Subpart 6.302-1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to buy test articles and associated test support services from foreign sources for the FCT program. Previously, as part of its market research, T he Government publicized a Request for Information (RFI) - Sources Sought for these efforts under RFI number M67854-13-I-7816 on 6 February 2013.
